Propose a Signature Course

If you would like to teach a Signature Course, please submit your proposal using our online course proposal system.

Please answer all questions on the form as best you can. The UGS committee will evaluate proposals in light of the faculty council legislation governing the first-year signature course.

Make sure you have the approval of the department chair before submitting your proposal. Proposals that do not have chair approval will not be considered by your dean or by the Signature Course selection committee.

The deadline for you to submit for 2010-11 is October 5, 2009. Once you submit your proposal, it will be routed to your dean for approval and then sent to UGS by the following week. By mid-November, you should know whether your course is to be scheduled.
