New Users
You can read Usenet news and post articles through UT's Usenet news server or other news server outside the utexas.edu domain. If you choose to read news through UT's news server, you need to configure your connection to the server.
Important: On August 21, 2008, ITS will retire the Usenet server newshost.cc.utexas.edu from service. As part of this retirement, ITS will no longer provide Usenet newsreading and posting services. ITS is no longer accepting requests for new accounts.
